CAPS students in DC attend documentary premiere of “Chinese Puzzle” at the Chinese embassy.

On October 17, three Cornell Levinson China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CAPS) program Washington DC semester students, Feifei Hung, Jacqueline Cheng, and Catherine G Chin, participated in a documentary premiere at the Chinese embassy.

The documentary “Chinese Puzzle” focuses on the journey of 40 or so Americans learning Chinese or promoting Chinese language education. Many have expressed their strong interest in the Chinese language and sincere wishes for a stable and healthy U.S.-China relationship.

Cultural and people-to-people exchange has always played an important role in promoting mutual understanding and is ever more important to stabilize and improve U.S.-China relations now.

The CAPS program is committed to increasing the understanding of contemporary China and improving US-China relations through a set of courses on Chinese language, history, politics, economy, society, and foreign relations, and by providing students with experience both on and off campus, including in Washington DC and Beijing.
