CAPS at the Chinese embassy in Washington D.C.

On January 30, the Cornell Levinson Program in China and Asia-Pacific Studies joined the Chinese embassy in Washington D.C. for an off-the-record conversation on China and the future of U.S.-China relations between Minister Jing Quan at the embassy and Professor Jessica Chen Weiss, Director of the program.

Joined by dozens of faculty and selected students online from the Levinson Program, Cornell Department of Government, and Cornell University: MPA Program - Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, Minister Jing and Professor Weiss candidly exchanged views on issues concerning U.S.-China relations, Cross-Strait relations, and cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchange between the two nations.

The Levinson Program is delighted to work with the Chinese embassy to serve as a bridge to increase understanding and minimize misconceptions among the younger generation and in U.S.-China relations.
