Allen Carlson, Associate Professor of Government and Director of the Levinson China & Asia-Pacific Studies Program
Derek Chang, Associate Professor of History and Former Director of the Asian American Studies Program
A webinar with Professors Carlson and Chang will reflect on the turbulent state of U.S.-China relations as the COVID pandemic continues to grip much of the world. The roundtable will place the relationship in a broader historical context, while also speculating on what the future likely holds in store for those on both sides of the Pacific. The discussion will uniquely stand at the intersection between the fields of History and Political Science and between China Studies and Asian American Studies. An emphasis will also be placed upon dialogue and exchange of views as befits a roundtable-style discussion. All are welcome.
